Welcome to IMT Laboratories. IMT has been a leader in non-radioactive microsphere technology since 1986 when IMT developed and patented our colored microspheres, E-Z Trac Ultraspheres, for use for regional blood flow studies.  In addition, IMT also discovered that the microspheres could also track just about any moving liquid or suspension and patented the technique in 1989.  Because IMT has a long standing history with microspheres and their applications, we have become the "experts" in microsphere flow technology.  IMT has always manufactured and tested their microspheres on-site, enabling IMT to provide hands-on technical support to our customers.  If you have difficulties getting our products to work, we will have the answers.
Realizing the value of our extensive knowledge and equipment, in 1992 IMT launched the Investigator Partner Service (IPS) to provide laboratory services for its customers.    Originally, IPS analyzed E-Z Trac Ultraspheres with the service on the Tracker automated image analysis system. While analyzing samples for clients with our Tracker equipment, IMT was developing the next generation of microspheres for flow studies.

By 1994, IMT released the NuFlow fluorescent microsphere product line that used flow cytometry to quantify microspheres.  The NuFlow fluorescent microspheres have proven to be the fastest and most accurate method for quantifying non-radioactive microspheres in flow studies, especially regional blood flow studies.
